TPACK Model Lesson Plan
TPACK stands for Technological, Pedagogical, and Content Knowledge. Thus, it is a framework for the teachers to develop lesson plans using technologies. By integrating this model in teaching and leaning, it had greatly helped in enhancing the teaching and learning, where it address the needs and expectations of each individual learners. It also enable the teachers to come up with interactive and interesting lesson which are more of student centered learning. Thus, integration of this model in teaching and learning can help in developing as well as support the 21st century skills.
Content knowledge (CK)
Content knowledge (CK)refers to the knowledge that teachers have regarding various theories, ideas and concepts. Through this, teachers set the learning objectives and the goals that the students need to fulfill at the end of the lesson.
Pedagogical knowledge (PK)
It is the skills and the understanding that teachers have to teach various concepts and knowledge to students in an explicit manner. Teachers take into consideration the various methods and activities that can help the students to learn and grasp the concept.
Technological knowledge (TK)
It include the knowledge that teachers have regarding various technologies and digital tools that are available to them with enough understanding about its benefits as well as limitations in teaching and learning environment. At the same time, teachers also needs to be able to integrate these technologies effectively so that it can enhance the teaching and learning.
Technological content knowledge (TCK)
It include the use of appropriate use of technology to teach the contents and concepts in a best possible way. The kind of the technology that teacher use and the concept that they teach need to be relatable.
Pedagogical content knowledge (PCK)
Pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) refers to the teachers knowledge on different concepts along with the methods and skills to teach these concepts to learners.

Previous Knowledge: Know a few short folk stories.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of the lesson, students should be able to;
state five elements of short stories in their right order appropriately,
write short stories of their own by incorporating all five elements of short stories,
recognize various emotions portrayed in the stories, understanding how they shape the characters and plots of the stories.
Lesson Introduction (7 mins)
Teacher will provide a passage of a short story to students, where they have to read and find out the unique features that are present in the story.
After reading the story, allow students to discuss their understanding of the story along with the unique features that they found while reading. (Expected answers: Elements of the short story. It need not be accurate.)
Then, the teacher will begin the actual lesson by enumerating the five elements of the short stories, (Character, setting, plot, conflict and theme) using the above passage as an example. In order for the students to further understand the concept, let them watch the short video and after watching, make them share what they understood or learned form the video.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xc2ouTq73zw
(Note: Make sure that all the students are involved in doing the task and provide necessary support if required.)
Lesson Development (34 mins)
Activity 1
In pairs, instruct students to write a short story on any topic using their imaginations. The story should include all the five elements of the short story.
Activity 2
Based on the story they have written, using the Auto-draw software, let students illustrate their story in the pictorial format. (Let students open into auto draw.com and make sure every student is familiar with this software.)
Monitoring
Ensure that all the students are involved in carrying out the activity, provide guidance and support if needed.
Follow Up
After completion of the activities, make students share their story and drawings to the class. Then, let them give feedback on each other's work. By doing so it can promote active learning, boost their confidence and critical thinking skills.
Lesson Closure (4 mins)
Ask questions to find out how much students have understood about the topic, like What are the elements of a short story? What is conflict?, etc…In order to keep students engaged, let them read “People who hug the tree” a story from the text and then let them identify the characters, setting, conflict, plot and the theme of the story.
