SAMR was created by Dr. Ruben Puentedura which stands for Substitution, Augmentation, Modification and Redefinition. It is the planning tool that help the teachers to design better learning activities to enhance the teaching and learning in a class. Given below is the SAMR Model; Substitution: It include the direct substitution of the traditional tools or the methods like ppts which are often not that interactive cause it simply involves substituting the textbooks.Thus , the direct replacement of the text. Augmentation: Substitute the traditional tools or the method with significant changes, like the use of animations, images or the videos to make the lesson interactive and interesting. Modification: There is a functional improvement in the way the lesson are designed; rather than just bringing improvement to the lessons, the educators and learners try to modify the lesson in a way that it can bring a significant changes to the learning progress and the outcome.
